Annie had eleven children - nine survived. She was noted as being an immaculate housekeeper, excellent cook and mother. She had a fine voice and sang in the Mt. Pleasant choir. She was the first Postmistress in Mr. Pleasant and acted as a secretary for the Relief Society for many years. She grew beautiful roses, kept a vegetable garden and did canning. She was a practical nurse, looking after the ill, making her own medicine from the herbs she grew. She did knitting and was an excellent seamstress.
