It's Official!!!

Yes! It is finally official!

We made it!!!!!

Not to the moon of course 

although we feel like we have been there and back :-) 

but Shay and I are finally "online" with LDS Family Services! 

YES, we are adopting.... 

if you didn't know already! 

We have chosen LDS Family Services as our agency and can’t wait to add a little one to our family! We are so excited! 


I am sharing this information with everyone because we need your help! Often times, successful adoptions occur because someone knows someone out there who is contemplating adoption. We would hope that if you know of an expectant mother that is considering adoption, or if a conversation occurs about someone contemplating adoption, that you would be willing to pass along our information! 


We are thrilled that there are so many options out there for you to share with a perspective birth parent(s); places where birth parent(s) can go to learn more about us and/or contact us:
1. Refer them to our adoption blog:

This is our blog specifically for the adoption process so that expectant birth parent(s) can learn more about us.

2. Give out our online profile information with LDS Family Services:

They can do this by either search family profiles by our first names & state 

or use our profile ID # which is: 27268851

Steps to get to our profile:

1. Log onto www.itsaboutlove.org 

2. Click on "View Adopting Family Profiles" (found on the left side of the screen)

3. Click on "Guest"

4. Click "Find a profile by ID or names"

5. Type in our profile ID #: 27268851 

or 

type in our names:

Shay (husband), Winnie (Wife), and Utah

3. Share our email address: 

shayandwinnie@gmail.com

We have set up this email specifically for adoption so that expectant birth parent(s) and/or family can contact us with any questions they might have. 

4. Invite them to contact our caseworker:

5. We are in the process of making pass-along cards and will let you all know when they become available. We do ask that you not disclose our last name, address, or any other specific information. We are seeking an open-adoption (actually whatever the birth parent(s) are comfortable with) but would like to be able to set those guidelines up with the expectant birth parent(s) if and when we are chosen. 


Another way that you can help us get the word out is by posting our profile link and/or adoption blog onto your Facebook account or blog: 
PLEASE feel free to take our website addresses and plaster them everywhere! :-)  


We are told that statistically the more "publicized" you are the better chance you have in finding the right birth parent(s).
